Tired Mommy + Quiet Kids = Trouble

My sweet husband agreed to watch the kids while I took a nap. I woke up and saw something on my rug, but being too groggy at the time I just blew it off. Then Tanni came up to me with her hair all up in clips asking if I liked her new hair do. "Oh yes, Britannia it is just beautiful!" I respond. I thank Jason for watching the kids and he tells me they were no problem at all. Tanni and Shayla were quiet and good the whole time. Then I go over to the dinning room table to finish up a sewing project. Can you guess what I found next? Yep, you got it! My sewing scissors and HAIR? I freaked, "Girls get over here now, who's hair is this?" Shayla comes first and there's a few weird pieces, but not enough to equal the amount of hair on the table. Then I remember Tanni's beautiful hair do. I go to her and start taking out the clips. She burst into tears and hid under the table. She had taken all that time to hide the hair cut with her clips. I felt so bad that she was so scared. What can you do? I just started laughing and grabbed my camera. (My sister gave me a haircut when I was little and I would give anything to have pictures of it. My mom had my hair cut into a mullet!) Thank goodness for good friends that you can call anytime of day. I called up Ashley and she let me come right over. She did such a great job with what I brought her. Thank you so much Ashley! ;) We still don't know what really happened. At first Tanni told us she cut it because it was sticky. Then she told us Mishayla cut it. Who knows? Thanks again for the nap honey, it was really nice! I have to admit this could have happened on my clock. I let the girls have scissors anytime because they have been so responsible in the past. Not anymore, never trust a child, they just aren't developmentally capable to be responsible. I love them anyway and besides everybody needs a hair cut story right?!

That is sooo funny! How smart of her to think she could cover it up with the clips!

I loved her clip hair do. And yes we all need a haircut story with pictures to prove it. Your backyard pictures are beautiful too, I need you to come take some pictures for our family.

I hope not everyone needs a hair cut story. I haven't had mine yet.

You have a great one, though. Especially since it was on Jason's watch. And the one that did the cutting felt so bad. I do not think she will do that again.

That is great that Ashley helped you out right away. Awesome.

Oh gosh, I'm laughing with you because my kids have done the same thing and some of them have done it twice....Kids are too cute and so funny. Luckily all her beautiful hair will grow back.

It was so fun catching up yesterday, I can't believe you didn't tell me the hair story, it is so funny, especially that she had to cover it up. Your recovery was good though, she still looks gorgeous as always!

This is a great story--and it will be quite funny in about a year when her hair has grown out a little. Thanks for sharing!
