We gave Jason a bucket full of things for the yard. I also helped each of the kids make a garden stone with their hand print on it for him. It was a fun little activity and the kids were so excited to give them to their daddy! They sat on the table and held them while they waited for him to come down the stairs that morning. Thank you for being such a wonderful father to our little sweeties!

Water, Water, & More Water

Water... that pretty much sums up our summer so far! We go to the pool everyday for Britannia's swimming lessons. I'm so proud of her, she really took off this week and passed level 1!!! It so much fun to watch my baby swimming for the first time. While Tanni swims in the big pool Mishayla, David, and myself hang out with our friends at the baby pool. Some days we stay after and have a picnic lunch then we return to the water. We also visit a new splash park that was put in this year near our home. It has been such a fun summer so far. The best part is that the kids get all of their energy out early in the day so they are worn out when we get home. We were spoiled to have our Daddy along today, it was fun for the kids to show him what we do everyday while he's at school working hard. Thanks for all that you sacrifice for us Jason, it's a good thing we're worth it...RIGHT!!!

Summer Has Arrived!

We pulled out the little pool for the first time this year. The girls were so excited they had a ball playing in the pool. Mishayla was in her own little world swimming with Barbie. While Tanni ran back and forth playing with the ball and getting in and out of the water. David doesn't really care for the water yet (this summer may cure him of that) so he spent his time on the Pooh Bear air plane! He is such a funny little guy, he sits on that thing for about 30 min. at a time. He doesn't even know how to push it around yet it's pretty cute.

Hawaii

I bought the girls hula skirts and hula music. It's so cute to watch them "hula" if that's what you want to call it. They really start shaking their little hips. It's so cute it cracks me up! My mom took me and my sister to Hawaii because she has always wanted to go and it's one place that my dad will not go. A big thank you is due to Jason and his mom who stayed at home with the kids. It was so generous of them and I am so grateful!!! It was so much fun to get away and relax with them. The first day we went to Pearl Harbor and to the beach snorkeling. Okay so my mom didn't snorkel, get in the water, or even bring a swimming suit for that matter. She is so funny, who goes to Hawaii without a swimming-my mom. I have never seen her wear a swimming suit in my life! The second day we went to the temple and did a session. It was so nice to go to the temple with them. We went to the Polynesian Culture Center after. We did the Luau there as well as a show that they had afterward. This was by far my favorite day there. On day three we went shopping at a flea market, afterwards we went to a sea life place, and for dinner we went on a dinner sunset cruise. Yes, the above photo was taken by my pregnant sister who got out of the embarassing dancing in front of everyone during the dinner show. On the final day we went to the Dole Plantation. There were tiny pineapples growing that were so cute and I loved the flower gardens. All of the flowers are so pretty there! We spent the remainder of our time on the beach. It was so nice to have a little getaway. I missed my kids so much though, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do something like this again anytime soon.

I got to go on Tanni's field trip to the park with her class. It was so much fun to be able to have the day be just about her. I rode on the bus with her and we had to sit in the front seat and we sang songs with some of her class mates who were sitting next to us. She is growing up fast and I have to admit that I'm jealous that I have to share her with her teachers. It's hard to think of her experiencing things with them and knowing all of the things in her life that I'm missing. It's hard to know that each year I will experience less and less of her life. I am grateful however, that she had such good teachers. Miss. Mindy was so good to her, Tanni absolutely loved her!

Hershey Trip

We went on a little family vacation to Hershey, Pennsylvania. It was such a nice little get away-and who wouldn't want to visit a town that's tourism is built around chocolate! We visited Hershey World, Hershey Museum, and Hershey Garden's. Hershey World had a fun little ride about making chocolate along with a little "factory" I guess you could say where the kids got to package their own chocolate kisses. The Hershey Museum was interesting, but the kids and by kids I mean Jason got pretty bored. I loved Hershey Gardens it was such a beautiful day. The kids just ran around and explored. They had a butterfly house which the girls really enjoyed. Tanni had a little chart that told her what all of the different butterflies were and she was acting so grown up trying to figure out all of the different butterflies. Another fun attraction we hit were the Circus. The kids really loved this, they got to go see the animals and performers up close before the show which was probably the most entertaining for them. They were a little bumbed out that we wouldn't fork out $12 for a bag of cotton candy however. We did splurge the next day at Dutch Wonderland for two bags of $2 cotton candy to make up for it. I think it's safe to say that this was every one's favorite place on the trip. It was an amusement park based on a Dragon, a Knight, and the girls favorite a Princess! The last day we went to Gettysburg which was such an interesting little town. There were random people all dressed up in Civil War clothing walking around town. We drove around and looked at the different monuments. It reminded me of the vacations my family took when we were kids. The type when the parents drive around and look at stuff that seem so boring and your just glad to get out of the car and run around for a few minutes. We had a great time together I think family vacations are so much fun no matter where you go or what you do!
