Christmas Fun!

My Christmas Cuties!
Visiting Santa at Legacy Village!
Britannia asking for a Baby Alive with real hair. Santa told her he would talk to his doll makers about it.
Mishayla reuniting with Santa
David discussing his list with Santa
Kash meeting Santa for the first time
David on "Santa's" lap at ward Christmas party
Kash's look of shock after learning that he had slept through the entire party!
The closest I could get the girls to "Santa" for a picture. There was no fooling them that this wasn't the real deal. They weren't about to sit on Joey's lap.
"Kash, what do you have there?"
"Who me?" Little candy cane snatcher!
The kids each got a package of candy canes. I told them to hang them on the tree, that way they would look cute and they could just take one off when they wanted to eat one. David thought this meant that he should unwrap them and hang them on the tree so he could take a lick whenever he wanted. He had been working on this white one for a few days. I guess he hung it a little too low after his last lick because Kash got his hands on it. He thought he'd struck gold! To say that this boy loves the tree would be an understatement. He pulls everything off it and eats it, including the lights. His most favorite thing to do is roll underneath it, grab a hold of a branch, and shake it as hard as he can. It's like his own personal giant bell!

We made gingerbread houses for FHE one night. The kids loved them and worked on them for days after. They were very cute to compliment each other on the work they had done. They also would explain how they took ideas from each other, but changed it a bit to make it their own. It's fun to see them put so much thought into the things they do. I can't believe how big they getting...sigh

Little Turkey's

We had a great Thanksgiving! We were invited over too a friends house, with several other families. We had a wonderful feast and enjoyed the company. The kids really loved getting together with all their friends and playing all day!

First Snow

This was not only the first snow of the season, but it was also Kash's first snow ever! He hated it of course! The other kids loved it though and played in it until I bribed them with hot chocolate. It was such a wet snow the girls hair got very wet from playing out in it. They did not care though, they just had a blast. Oh, and I have no idea how David could see where he was going he had his hat pulled down so far. Silly boy!

Dance Recital & Karate Kid

Mishayla had such a great time in dance class this year. She got to take it with her little friend from preschool which made it extra exciting for her to go. She did a great job at her recital. Her hula dance was my favorite...soooo cute! She did very well and looked as beautiful as could be up on stage!

We let the kids choose one activity at a time and Britannia decided to choose karate this time around. She did really well and passed off her Little Dragon #1, however she decided that her karate days are behind her and is going to try ballet again. She is so funny, love her!

Grandma's Girls Trip 2010

Kash and I got to fly home for a weekend to celebrate this gorgeous lady's birthday. Every year the women in my family celebrate my Grandma Hinkins Birthday by spending the weekend in Provo shopping. This was the third time I was able to make it home for the celebration since moving to Cleveland. I was so excited to be able to go it was the best. I had such a wonderful time with all of them. We missed all of those who were not able to make it. It's getting harder and harder to get us all together.

We had a great Halloween weekend. We started celebrating Thursday morning with our Preschool party. The kids came dressed in their costumes and looked adorable as always. Thursady we continued festivies with Mishayla's other preschool. They put on a parade in their classroom made pumpkin costumes. Friday I got to be the mom in charge of Britannia's classroom party. It was really fun to be able to go spend that time with her. Friday night was our ward party which our kids always really love and enjoy. They do a really good job planning it. Saturday we decorated Halloween cupcakes and went to a friends house for a party that night. It was a mandatory dress up party, not really my thing dressing up, but it was a great party. Sunday we had a Halloween dinner and finished the day off with trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
Monday morning Mishayla asked, "Mommy, is it Halloween again?"
I replied, "No, honey it isn't."
She responded with, "Oh, well what holiday is it today then?"
Guess we sort of over did it?
