Pictures That Make Me Smile!

I was going through the pictures on my memory card and found these pictures that made think, "Wow, my kids really are precious sometimes!" As you all can understand they can often drive me crazy, but I love the way it makes me feel when I see them smile. Jason is back after his month long rotation in New York and we are all thrilled. We get him to ourselves for the rest of the week. Next month he will be doing a rotation just minutes from our house so at least we will be able to see him at nights. The kids were not doing so well with him being gone so long. Mishayla was having daily melt downs about any little thing you could imagine. One day she very angrily screamed at her toys for several hours. I just stayed in the other room and let her do her thing. That might sound heartless, but I know that she just had so much frustration built up in her little body over the new living arrangements and I figured it was a safe way for her to get it out. We all need a good scream every once and a while right? My mom was able to come and stay with us for a few weeks during that time, which really helped out. Thanks again mom!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

When we got home from picking the Britannia up from school there was a note on the door from Lucky the Leprechaun. He left some little clues with some gold (little Reece's) at the end of it. The kids were very excited that Lucky visited them this year! Grandma also bought them a new movie which I think they may have been more excited over. For dinner we had the traditional corned beef, potato's, carrots, green jello, green pistachio salad, and green kool-aid. Cheesy, I know but it's fun to have a little magic in the house sometimes!

1 More Makes 4

Britannia lost her 4th tooth on Saturday the 14th. This was her first one on the top so she really has a new look going on.

Farm Park

My mom in town visiting, which the kids love and I truly appreciate! It is so nice to have an extra set of hands and some adult company. We took the kids to this fun farm park that we had never been too before. It was a nice day and the kids really enjoyed it. There were lots of little baby lambs and piglets that we all adored. The girls were right at home on these horses that they were able to ride. Note the tattoo on Britannia's forehead. Someone gave it too her at school and she wouldn't wash it off for days. Sunday morning I held her down and scrubbed it off, which upset her greatly. She asked, "If it were a tattoo of Jesus could I leave it on?" Wow! A good reminder that I have a lot more work to do than I thought!

Tea Party

We had an unbaby shower for the girl in the beautiful tiara and feather boa. She has 3 kids and was never given a shower so we had a little tea party to make up for it. Sadly she will be moving away soon along with two of the other girls. Student life is really hard that way, I will sure miss you girls. Thanks again I had a wonderful time.

Our Latest News

Jason finished his last finals ever! We are all so excited and proud of the hard work he has put into school. We went to Applebee's and got desserts to celebrate. He now has a year of exterships as well as boards to complete. So, we still have another year here before moving onto residency. Life is moving fast which is a little bittersweet!

Britannia reached 200 steps in the hundred book challenge and got an award for it at her school. She was so close to reaching 300, but she will be that much closer for the next go round. I am so proud of her. She is working very hard and is doing very well in school.

I took David and Shayla to the outlet's and hit some awesome sales. I was very proud of them. This is one of our favorite places to go, they have duck pond where my kids love to feed the ducks. Shayla had so much fun being able to play and run around with the ducks. David on the other hand was nervous and watched the ducks very closely. I got him out of the stroller and he hopped right back in and fastened himself securely back into his stroller. He wanted nothing to do with those strange creatures.

We've Got Style All Our Own!

Our little cowboy! How cute is he? I just love dressing my kids up, it's the most enjoyable hobby I have. David is a good sport and goes along with whatever I want to put him in still. He really does love being a cowboy, which I love! Whenever I get out his boots and Wranglers he points too his cowboy hat and says "ha". He loves to wear his cowboy hat, he wears it all around the house. I love it!

My girls are outgrowing their willingness to let me dress them up the way I want them. As most of you know this has been an issue between Britannia and I for a while now. She has been wanting to express herself through own clothing styles for several years now. Her latest way of expressing herself is through her own hair designs. She takes much pride in her do it herself styles. I don't know if you can see it or not, but she has a little ruby in the top of her hair. This is one that she put together for school. Yes, I let her go to school like that! I've decided that I can only fight so many battles.
Mishayla has also decided that she has her own taste in clothing and put together this little number on her own. My talent for dressing my kids up has really worn off on them as you can see. Wish me luck on those teenage years!
