Christmas

We had a really great Christmas this year. We have not stayed on Cleveland for Christmas since our first year here. It was kind of nice not to have to travel and worry about shipping gifts, although we missed our families dearly. The kids actually sleeped in until about 9:00 am. We let them take their time playing with their toys from Santa and opening gifts. We had a nice dinner, which was the only meal we even thought about all day. The day was just really relaxed and low key, I really enjoyed it!

Christmas Eve

We were invited over to a friends house for a Christmas eve party. We had one of the best meals of my life, then the adults played games while the kids watched a Christmas movie, we ended the party with the children acting out the nativity. Britannia was an angel, Mishayla was a lamb, and David wanted nothing to do with any of it. We came home and let the kids open their pj's from Grandma & Grandpa Hinkins as well as their gifts to each other. The kids drew names this year and made each other home made gifts tis year. They were so excited about them. Britannia made Mishayla a house for her favorite bunny out of a box. Mishayla made David a Cars pillow, and David made Britannia a diary/staionary set. They also suprised Jason and I with some fun little art work. They ended he night by writing Santa thank you letters to go with his milk and cookies.

Country Lights

We took the kids to Lake Farm Park for the country lights celebration for the first time this year. It was so much fun I fell bad that we haven't taken advantage of this in the past. We went on a wagon ride to see all of the lights. They had a fun nursery rhyme theme made out of the lights. The wagon dropped us of at the animal shed, where we got to see a newborn calf that had only been born moments earlier. They had a train display that David loved. Then each of the kids got to make their own wooden toy. Britannia made a cat, Mishayla chose a rocking horse, and David of course made a choo choo train. They all thought this was very cool. Of course no Christmas activity would be complete without visiting with good old Santa Clause. We all had a really great time.

Our First Snow of the Season

We still haven't had much in the way of snow, but the kids were thrilled to have enough to play in. Jason taught them how to throw snowballs, which David absolutly delighted in. They really wanted to make snowmen, but we only had enough snow for baby frosty. I'm sure the worst is yet to come!

Pictures Stuck On A Camera

Britannia read 25 hours and was awarded for 100 steps of reading.

The kids love playing hide and seek. They hide from me even when I don't realize that we're playing. I opened the closet door to find this. How about Britannia's stlye of wearing her shirt heaven help me!

Me at 19 weeks, sadly 3 weeks later I feel like I'm much bigger.

All of these pictures have been stuck on my camera for a while. I was glad to finally get them to download to my computer.

Britannia's Tumbling Class

Britannia has been taking tumbling class for the past couple of months. I'm amazed at how quickly she catches on to things. She definitely did not get her coordination skills from me. I kept trying to get pictures of her doing things, but the camera was too slow. She is very good at cartwheels and somersaults. Check out her hula hoop skills, she can do all the things I always wished I could. I'm very proud of her!
