My Baby Boy is 1!

My precious guy is such a nervous little thing. He spent most of the day crying and upset about things, until he decided it could be enjoyable.

As you can see in the end he warmed upto the cake eating idea.

Gifts started the same way the cake did, he wanted nothing to do with them and crawled away crying and screaming.

Once again after he figured out the presents we're alright he was happy as could be.
You're such a precoius little thing my sweet Kash. We have enjoyed our first year with you so much. You're such a sweet, cuddley little guy. Even if you are scared of everything and cry ALOT we sure love you. It's been fun watching learn to crawl and explore your world. You're standing up and walking around furniture, but you don't show too much interest in walking on your own. Trust me when I say, "I don't mind one bit, take your time." My favorite thing you say is, "my mama" it's also cute when you say, "cool" and "tute"We love you so my tiny guy!

Going to the Lodge...

We surprised the kids with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge for the girls spring break. It was a wonderful and relaxing trip. The older kids loved all the water slides and water activites. Kash just isn't a water dog, he doesn't even like the bathtub so you can imagine fun the trip was for him. We did have a great time together though, it was a well needed vacation!

Locks to Love!

I love, love, love this little guys hair! I love it sticky, I love it wet, I love it curly, I love it a mess! Jason keeps giving me a hard time about it and telling me that we need to cut it, but I just can't do it. I tell myself when he's a year I'll get it cut, but I honestly don't know how I will bring myself to do it. It's a mess most of the time even when I comb it he messes it up quickly because it's just so soft. So, for now I'm just going to keep on loving those little locks!

Loosy Toothy

Mishayla was so freaked out when Britannia's teeth fell out that I was really worried for her when her first tooth became loose. She would not let anyone touch it or really even look at it. It got so loose that it was really hanging by a string. On Feb. 27 as we were getting ready for church Britannia said, "Mishayla, I think your tooth fell out!" Sure enough it had, it was gone. Britannia was so worried about it and looked for it everywhere. Mishayla didn't even seem to care one bit. I think she was relieved to have it over with. Britannia ended up finding it on the floor of their bedroom. Mishayla was excited that she could use the cute little tooth fairy box that aunt Heidi had given her a while back. She was even more excited when the tooth fairy left a Zooble under her pillow in exchange for the tooth. She lost her second tooth on March 11. It had gotten so loose we were afraid it would fall out and get swallowed or lost like the first, so Jason went in her room early one morning and fell out. She was so mad at him! She was not going to forgive him so he took her out for a day with dad and bought her a little tiny doll. It seemed to smooth things over!

Catching up!

Britannia at dance class.
Britannia and her friend Dea at a rollerskating party. Mishayla trying out her rollerskating legs.
The school district presented Britannia with an award for "Responsibility".
Britannia participated in the science fair again this year. She made a homemade lava lamp!

Grandpa Henkins will be so proud! The kids were playing horse races! They had me take pictures of them in "the winners circle". Our little jockey Kash won first place on Pretty Little Pony!!!
David got to go camping with Jason for young men's.
He loved it, snow and all!
The girls stayed home and made fairy houses while my friend Meghan came over and helped me paint the living room.

I'm upstairs with Kash when Mishayla comes up and asks if she can go outside and see the sea creatures. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what she's talking about. I ask if she left some toys outside or something. She insists there are real sea creatures outside and she wants to go out and see them. So, I have her show me from the window what she's talking about. Her sea creatures turn out to be wild turkey's, 5 of them. Oh, the wild animals of the suburbs!
Look what the Leprechaun left on St. Patrick's Day!
Looking at the loot from the leprechaun. We had a great St. Patrick's day complete with our traditional corned beef dinner.
