David's 1st Birthday!

Well, like everything else by the time you get to the third kid nothing is a big production. We did cake (not even ice cream) two days before his birthday while my mom was here. She gave him a little power wheels 4-wheeler and a cute little outfit. We also let him open his gift from aunt Heidi, it was a cute little boat that makes sounds and sings songs. Since Jason is still in finals we have to wake up early each morning to do things before he leaves to study. That's why the girls are still in their pj's. On the morning of his Birthday everyone came into mine and Jason's bed and David kept crawling over the top of us saying, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle". He moves his little fingers around while saying this. It cracks me up how fast they learn little things like this. Tanni asked me, "If David turned one why does he still look like a baby?" As if some magical transformation should have taken place during the night and turned him into a big boy. When we asked David if he was ready to open him presents. Mishayla said, "No, I open Beaubee's presents. They my presents." She doesn't understand why Tanni and David have had recently had birthdays and she hasn't. At this point we let him (the girls) open the presents from us. We gave him the CAT dump truck, blocks, and a book. He was very excited about his new toys. Almost as excited as he was about the pink baby doll lotion bottle that he's holding in the top picture that he wouldn't put down all morning.
He is such a cute little baby. I shouldn't say little because that word has never fit this boy. Born at 9 lbs 8 oz my biggest baby by a pound and a half he doubled his birth weight much sooner than either of my girls did. He has been such a good baby with such a fun personality. He makes me smile everyday and I love to rock him to sleep at night it's truly my daily therapy. I love you, David!

Bridi, you really captured the joy of the day for David. What great pictures. My personal favorite is the one of him grinning from ear to ear when he is about to open his present. Cute Cake too. Good job. Happy Birthday, David.

I love the pictures of David, especially the lotin bottle. Even with two big sisters, he just looks all boy and it gives me hope for our little guy. It looks like you had so much fun celebrating together. Happy Birthday David, I can't believe it was a year ago we came down to see you!

Bridi the cake turned out awesome! I may have to come out and train some more for cooking tips! My poor family is stuck with a very non creative person!

Bridi, I love all the pictures. You have a way with a camera. I am still waiting for the Hawaii outfits and their dancing.
I do have to say that David Max is one little sweetie. I did enjoy when he was the only one up, that was our time together. He's let me rock him, hold him and tickle him. He does have a cute personality.
Of course, I do love the girls too. Tanni was the mommy, she knew all about everything, really, just ask her. :-)
Shayla was just happy to be playing . The best part was taking her to the park and she found out that she really could do some of the things she had seen her sister do. Then she did them over and over. Climbing the stairs and sliding was her favorite.
