Montauk Point Lighthouse

We took a little day trip to Montauk Point Lighthouse. The drive itself was beautiful and enjoyable. Montauk is at the very far east end of the island. This is the oldest lighthouse in New York, Pres. Washington had it built and it's still a working lighthouse. The beach was very rocky and had huge boulders around the side of the lighthouse that we walked along. The kids mostly enjoyed collecting rocks and shells. Jason found crabs swimming in the water as we were walking along the beach. Mishayla also found a turtle shell on the beach. It was such a fun and relaxing trip!
