October!

The girls had so much fun playing in our grand leaf pile that they helped me rake!
Britannia
Mishayla I love the fall leaves here!
I can't keep David out of my kitchen sink! He just hangs on the cabinet and plays in the water all day long. It use to be the bathroom sink which wasn't as bad because I could close the door, but I can't keep out of this one. I'm going to go crazy if he doesn't grow out of this stage soon!
I got to help with Britannia's halloween class party again this year. I'm so glad that I get to be a stay at home mom and participate in these activities. Britannia at the school's Halloween parade.

The kids were so excited about their cosutmes this year. They helped me pick out the fabrics and design them. I was glad David wore his costume because he never would try it on for me while I was making it. I wish we could have got a little more use out of them, but being sick put a little cramp in our Halloween parties.

Jason was in Kansas for the entire month of October and sent me these beautiful roses after I had a tearful night on the phone with him. Between Grandma visits the girls both got H1N1 and were sick for two weeks. While on the phone to Jason, Britannia jumped off the footboard of my bed and cut her head on my ceiling fan. I don't know how we made it through the month without going to the ER, but I feel more than blessed that we did.
Grandma bought the kids a fish tank and fish while she was here and the kids are in love. The first batch of fish died after a few days but the new group seem to be doing well (cross your fingers for us). On the plus side our little man of few words learned a new word from the experience "died".
My mom came and stayed with me for a week and half at the end of the month to help with the kids. I appreciated it so much! I felt bad that we weren't able to do very much with the sick kids. It was just fun having her here though the kids loved that she got to spend Halloween with them. They always look forward to her visits and talk about them for weeks prior and after the visit.

you poor thing! I hope that all of the kids are feeling better. H1N1 is such a pandemic here it's crazy. Glad that you were able to have a nice visit with you mom!

Fabulous pictures of the leaves, they are so beautiful. Your kids look so cute in their costumes. You are amazing. I especially love David, what a cute vampire. i don't know how you found the time to make costumes with all the sickness/Jason gone/being pregnant. You rock!

Thank you for the pictures of the kids in the leaves. I missed most of the colored leaves this year, but it was great seeing the kids enjoy them.
I also loved the costumes, you did a good job. They were all very scary. I could tell the good witch from the bad witch.

Good job with the costumes. I am always impressed when mom's sew/make their own. The kids looked great! Hope they are all feeling better, it is never fun to deal with sick kids but especially not fun when dad is gone too. Hang in there!
