So last Sunday I was in the basement and Britannia came down and said,"Dad said you could start bringing up the Christmas decorations." WHAT? Jason is so against decorating before Thanksgiving that I really didn't believe her. I came up stairs and asked Jason about if he really wanted to decorate for Christmas already. He said, "Maybe I'll get in the Christmas spirit this year if we let the kids put it up and they get excited about. You always say I don't have the Christmas spirit." So true! So we are all decorated. The kids put all the ornaments by themselves. (so don't judge me by the holes in my tree) They have loved it the keep moving the ornaments around and playing with them. Our tree is a modge podge of ornaments. Both Jason and I received an ornament every year growing up and we have continued this tradition with our kids. They love to figure out which ornaments belong to which person. They also love to play with our nativity sets. We have three and two of them are toys that they can play with. They keep saying, "We are so excited for Christmas so we can celebrate Jesus's birthday!" David is holding a baby Jesus in his hand even he keeps saying, "baby, baby!" I love that they're as excited about the birth of Christ as they are about Santa coming. At least for the time being.
