Signs of Spring

My sweet husband and kids brought me breakfast in bed for Mother's Day. They made me some very cute heart shaped pancakes (which Shayla found very tasty), bacon (which David helped himself too), and strawberries (as you can see Britannia found these to be delightful). This was not set up, they really did help themselves to the breakfast that they helped prepare for me on Mother's Day. Jason had breakfast for them downstairs, but they thought the all you can eat buffet in mom's bed was much more exciting. After my yummy breakfast I did a little laundry (sheets first)! After church Jason fixed me a wonderful dinner and the kids made me some beautiful pictures. It was a really great day!
These are the last pony tails they will be wearing for a while...

They got new haircuts just in time for the weather to warm up...cross your fingers!
Note all the toys in Shayla's hand. She always has a million toys in her hand. Getting out the door is always a huge chore because she has so much stuff she keeps dropping it and trying to pick it all up. She also looses things like crazy as you can imagine. The little bunny in her hand was m.i.a. for weeks we ended up finding it in a purse under her bed. Oh yes, Britannia lost her seventh tooth today, I'm going to have to start putting all of her meals in the blender first.

Britannia did a wonderful job in her spring dance performance, she is such an active girl she really enjoys her little dance class. However, she is thrilled to move onto softball.

Flower blossoms are letting us know that spring is here. Jason is very good at keeping our yard and small gardens in shape. He is so good at being patient and letting the kids help. They love to dig in the dirt, plant seeds, and help their daddy water the garden.
Last, but not least the music of the ice cream truck told us it was spring with the tune of "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" The kids were thrilled to purchase their first ice cream of the season. Britannia ran a city block to catch the truck and made him wait for us to get their so she could purchase her cotton candy swirl. Shayla delighted in a tweedy bird with gumball eyes and David let a red, white, and, blue bomb blaster melt down the front of his shirt. Life doesn't get much better than this!
