Britannia's Mermaid Party

Britannia informed me months ago that when she turned 6 she was going to have a mermaid party and that I needed to make mermaid tails for her and her friends. WHAT? Who does she think I am? I told her that she could only invite a few girls if I seriously had to make mermaid tails. It was a really fun party to plan and put on, even if the mermaid tails threw me off a little. We threw her party on Saturday since her birthday was on Sunday. I ended up making shimmery mermaid dresses. We did little crafts and a treasure hunt. Britannia had a great time with her friends. Sunday morning we gave her, her gifts from her grandparents and from us. Jason made her a beautifull Barbie house which she loves. He did such a great job on it I think, both girls have been playing with it non-stop. I think it was a really fun birthday and one to remember. Oh ya, she also lost another tooth over the weekend, this makes 6!

How fun! Looks like you put on the perfect party again! You may as well book a flight now for Brinlee's birthday because she now wants a Mermaid cake just like Tanni's and we know I can't do it so you will have to or we will be doing a lot of practice cakes in July when you visit. You did a great job as always. The doll house is darling.

Ohhhh, i forgot to tell you. A few sunday's ago when you guys sat next to us Gavin noticed her front teeth missing. He said, "She doesn't have front teeth?" I said, "yeah, she lost her front teeth. They fell out." He said, "Ohhhh, she lost them because she doesn't brush her teeth?" It was so funny. I had to explain to him the whole process after that. :) hehe. Man i can't even finish an easy handbag....i can't imagine sewing a few dresses!! p.s. i still plan on taking you up on that offer with the vinyl lettering. I really will be calling you....i just need to slow down a little and remember that i need to finish that room, then i will call! :)

Wow Bridi, that is one amazing party! Definately a birthday to remember, the dresses, the cake, the doll house, all of it perfectly amazing! How fun, you know the best part is that I am sure your kids know that you love them- Not very many moms could or would do all of that for one party!Man, I am tired just reading that keep up the good work.

That is a fantastic dollhouse! Great job, Jason! Ah, if only all houses came fully furnished like that!!! The mermaids are too much - where did you find a pattern? (not that I need it anytime soon!)

Oh goodness! You are amazing, making all of those adorable mermaid dresses. And that doll house is gorgeous. I can tell you both love your kids, and make a lot of sacrifices for them. (Haha--yeah, Bridi, who does Britannia think you are? I think you are proving to be quite the super mom that she thinks you are.)
