My Birthday

I flew home from Utah alone with the kids on my birthday. It was a little crazy, to say the least! David soaked his pants as soon as we got to the gate so he was half naked from the get go. He was so crazy at the airport. He kept running around and throwing Lightning McQueen at everyone that walked past us. The girls were extremely grumpy and kept complaining and crying over every little thing. Then as you can see I had the stroller loaded down with all the toys and junk that we couldn't fit in our suitcases. The flight itself only got better. The kids kept fighting over who got to sit by mom because two of them had to sit across the aisle from me. We had lots of nasty, cramped potty trips. David dumped out every bag of food we had on the floor and continued to throw Lightning McQueen at every poor passenger that passed by us. The good thing for us was that there were several other single moms with kids on the plane to take a little bit of the attention off of us. Also there was a a super nice, understanding flight attendant who helped out.
This is what I came home too at the end of the day! I have the sweetest husband in the world. It's never felt so good to be home. It was the perfect end to a not so perfect day. I'm glad for the crazy day, because it made me truly appreciate the end even more. A big thank you to all of you who thought about me and called or texted me on my birthday. You have no idea how much better you made my day!
I marathon blogged our trip so if you're that interested in our lives you may need to look at the next page to see all the updates! ;)

holy heck did you ever marathon blog! It was great to read all of your updates. Sounds like you had a wonderful time back in Utah...seeing all of your pictures made we want to go down again so badly!! I think I should live in Utah...the weather is MUCH better than here. The kids are all so darling and I love the matching outfits that your mom got them. Happy birthday too! Glad you had a good end to a hectic not so great day.

Ahh, I feel so guilty. I've been wanting to call ever since Tuesday, but I thought you were still gone and I only have Jason's cell number, excuses, excuses. Anyway, I'm sorry your birthday was rough, but I hope that Jason has continued to make up for it since! Love you!

I feel exhausted just reading that! You are much braver than me I would have never attempted all three on a plane by myself! I do agree that having those kind of days helps you to appreciate the doen time.
